Norman Borlaug Dies:

I first heard of this guy (shamefully) on an episode of Penn & Teller: Bullshit!. Norman Borlaug, Nobel laureate and probably the most important man you never knew, has passed away at the age of 95.

If you are an organic-loving hippie, an anti-"Frankenfood" pansie, or just generally a fucking bigot who hates poor people and loves it when children starve to death, you probably won't weep for Borlaug. For the rest of us, who want food and clean water for everybody and not just ourselves, Borlaug's passing mandates our attention. So long, Norman. If anyone deserves a place in heaven, it's you.
