Google has released beta packages of Chrome for .rpm (Fedora, openSUSE) and .deb (Ubuntu, Debian, Mint). Get them right here. Chromium has been available in one of the extra Ubuntu repositories, but if that's too much work for you, just grab one of these .deb packages and everything will be done for you. I just tried it myself, and can't believe how easy it was. Cheers.
